To simulate an outdoor ride indoors, dynamic inertia controls mass inertia and compensates for weight, speed and angle of inclination to make your ride feel more realistic.

ADD MORE REALISTIC MOTION

To complement the left-to-right movement of your NEO 2T trainer, snap on a pair of motion plates (sold separately) to allow more realistic multidirectional movement. Adopt a more natural position, and train even more effectively.

ROAD FEEL

This feature works with Tacx software or the Zwift app to make the trainer vibrate and simulate the feeling of riding on different road surfaces, such as cobblestone and gravel.

To get started with your Tacx NEO 2T Smart trainer, there are three things you should know about the different components so you can get your bike fitted properly and ready to ride.

1. Freehub Body

Tacx NEO 2T Smart comes pre-installed with the Shimano/SRAM 9- to 11-speed freehub body. If your bike’s groupset is different, you’ll need one of the following:

2. Check Axle

Tacx NEO 2T Smart includes the following axles suitable for bikes with:

  • Direct drive quick release axle (130 mm/135 mm x 5 mm)
  • Thru-axle end caps (142 x 12 mm and 148 x 12 mm) for bikes with thru-axle

For bike dimensions outside of the industry standard, Garmin offers this adapter set as an additional accessory:

3. Cassette

The Tacx NEO 2T Smart trainer doesn’t include a cassette. You will need a cassette of the same type and speed as the bike you plan to use with the trainer. Please visit your local bike shop, or search online to find the right cassette for your bike.
